Select Account

← All WonderLister user guides

Select Account is the control that asks which of your eBay accounts. It appears
wherever the answer changes what happens — on a listing, on a report, on an import, on a business
policy page — and it always behaves the same way.

No screenshot. This is a control inside a section of a larger screen — Account & Site in the listing editor is the clearest of them, not a screen of its own, and that
section is photographed whole in its own guide. Every part of the control is named below.

Where you will meet it

Screen What the account decides there
Account & Site in the listing editor Which account the listing is sold under, and therefore which business policies and store categories are offered.
Reports Whose sales the figures cover.
Payment Policies, Return Policies, Shipping Policies Whose policies are listed. Changing it empties the list until the new account’s policies arrive.
Import Listings, Import Orders, Import Best Offers Which accounts to import from — several at once here.
Upload Regulatory Document Which account the document is stored against.

What is on it

Control What it does
Select Account The dropdown. It lists the eBay user ids you have connected.
Select all Appears only where several accounts are allowed. Takes the lot.
The line beneath Where several are allowed, it reads Selected: … and names them, or Selected: None.
Manage Opens Manage eBay Accounts, where accounts are connected and removed.
Refresh Fetches the list of accounts again — after connecting one in another tab, for instance.
The clear (×) Leaves nothing chosen.
On some screens the account is single-choice and on others it takes several. That is set by
the screen, not by you: a listing has one account, an import can run against all of them. If you see
Select all and a Selected: line, you are on a screen that takes several.

How to use it

  1. Open the Select Account dropdown.
  2. Click the eBay user id you want, or tick several where the screen allows it.
  3. Wait for the screen to reload what depends on the account — policies, categories, figures.

FAQ

Q: The dropdown is empty.
A: No eBay account is connected, or the connection has lapsed. Click
Manage.
Q: I connected an account and it is not listed.
A: Click Refresh.
Q: I changed the account and my policies vanished.
A: They belong to the old account. Business policies, store categories and GPSR
records are all per account or per site; the screen refetches them, so give it a moment.
Q: Which account is a listing sold under?
A: The one in Account & Site on that
listing.
