Where to find it
Open eBay Sync from the application bar and choose
Refresh Regulatory Policies in the list on the left. Press Start Refresh.
Why you would run it
- eBay is refusing a listing for missing regulatory information.
- You are starting to sell a kind of item with its own rules — electricals, chemicals, toys.
- The regulations have changed, which they do.
This is what drives the compliance sections of the editor. What each category demands
decides whether you need an energy label, a
hazardous-material declaration,
safety information or a
regulatory document.

How a refresh runs
Pressing Start Refresh queues the work and hands you back the application — it does not sit
and wait. The button is disabled while the request is being sent, then the work goes on in the background.
- Watch it in Activity Logs.
- You are e-mailed when it finishes, unless you have turned those e-mails off in
Preferences. - Running it twice does no harm, but it does no good either while the first run is still
going.

Q: How often should I run this?
