A hazmat record is the hazardous material warning a product has to carry — its signal
word, its pictograms and its hazard statements. eBay publishes the permitted values, and they differ by
marketplace, so every record belongs to one eBay site.

Where to find it
- Click Settings on the top bar. The settings drawer opens.
- Click GPSR, then Hazmat in the menu that drops down.
The same screen is a section of the settings page, under Hazmat in its left-hand list, and
the Manage link inside the matching block of a listing’s
General Product Safety Regulations section opens it too.

The columns
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Hazmat Id | Our identifier. A listing stores this. |
| Site | The eBay site the record was built for. A record is only offered to listings on that site. |
| Title | Your own name for the record, and the text the picker on a listing shows. |
| Component | The hazardous ingredient, where you name one. Optional. |
| Signal Word Id | The chosen signal word — eBay’s code for it, such as the one behind Danger or Warning. |
| Statement Ids | The chosen hazard statements, as a comma-separated list of eBay’s codes. |
| Pictogram Ids | The chosen pictograms, in the same form. |
The last four columns show eBay’s codes, not the words. That is deliberate — they are
what is sent to eBay. Open the record in the editor to see the wording each code stands for.
