Mark Order as Paid

← All WonderLister user guides

Records that a buyer has paid for an order. Use it when payment reached you outside eBay’s own checkout —
eBay records its own payments automatically.

No screenshot. The pictures in this guide are captured by driving the real application, and
this dialog can only be opened on an actual eBay order. The account the capture run signs in as has no
orders, so there is nothing for it to photograph. Everything the dialog contains is listed below.

Where to find it

Select the order on Sales, then Mark as Paid from the
toolbar.

What it asks

Field What it is
Payment method How the buyer paid. The list is the methods eBay recognises.
Amount How much was paid. Type a smaller figure than the order total to record a part payment.
Save Records the payment.
Cancel Closes without recording anything.
This is a record of a payment, not a payment. Nothing is charged and no money moves. Marking
an order paid when it has not been paid will mislead you later, and the buyer too.

FAQ

Q: The order is already paid on eBay. Do I need this?
A: No. Payments taken through eBay arrive with the order. This is for payments taken
another way.
Q: Can I record a part payment?
A: Yes — type the amount actually received.
Q: Can I undo it?
A: Not from this dialog. Contact support if an order has been marked paid in error.
Q: Does this tell the buyer anything?
A: No. To tell the buyer their parcel is on its way, use
Mark as Shipped and
Enter Tracking Info.
