Brings down the reference data behind the EU’s General Product Safety Regulation — the manufacturers, responsible persons and safety information a listing into the EU may have to carry.

Where to find it
Open eBay Sync from the application bar and choose
Refresh GPSR Meta Data in the list on the left. Press Start Refresh.
Why you would run it
- You are starting to sell into the EU or Northern Ireland.
- A GPSR field in the editor is not offering something you expect.
- eBay has changed what it requires — this is a moving target.
GPSR is a legal requirement, not an eBay preference. Listings into the EU may have to name a
manufacturer and an EU responsible person. What you enter is in the editor’s
GPSR section, and the records themselves are managed on
Manage Manufacturers and
Manage Responsible Persons.

How a refresh runs
Pressing Start Refresh queues the work and hands you back the application — it does not sit
and wait. The button is disabled while the request is being sent, then the work goes on in the background.
- Watch it in Activity Logs.
- You are e-mailed when it finishes, unless you have turned those e-mails off in
Preferences. - Running it twice does no harm, but it does no good either while the first run is still
going.
