The editor you write a listing’s description in. It is a rich text editor — bold, lists, links, tables,
images — and what you write here is what a buyer reads on eBay.

Where you meet it
- The Description section of the listing editor.
- Anywhere else a listing’s description is written, including the simple editor.
There are two editors, and you choose which. WonderLister’s own is the default. The older
third-party one is still there: turn on Use Old Editor? in the General section of
Preferences. They edit the same description and produce the same HTML — if one
misbehaves on your machine, the other is worth trying.

What it can do
- Formatting — bold, italic, headings, alignment, lists.
- Links and images.
- Tables, for specifications.
- Working in HTML directly, when you want exactly a particular result.
What eBay allows
eBay strips or refuses active content in descriptions — script, forms, most embedded media — and applies its
own rules about links off eBay. Keep to layout, text and images and you will not run into it. Most eBay
traffic is on a phone, so avoid fixed pixel widths and wide tables.

Q: My formatting disappeared when the listing went to eBay.
A: eBay removes what it does not permit in a description. Simpler formatting

A: You can, but Word brings a great deal of hidden markup with it. Pasting as plain
