Manage Product Safety

← All WonderLister user guides

A product safety record is the safety warning a listing carries — its pictograms and
its safety statements. It is the general-safety counterpart to hazmat, and
like hazmat its permitted values come from eBay and differ by marketplace, so every record belongs to one
eBay site.

No screenshot. This screen is opened from the settings drawer’s GPSR menu, and the capture run
photographs routed pages and the dialogs a page toolbar opens rather than ones behind a menu.
Everything on it is named below, in the order it appears on screen.

Where to find it

  1. Click Settings on the top bar. The settings drawer opens.
  2. Click GPSR, then Product Safety in the menu that drops down.

The same screen is a section of the settings page, under Product Safety in its left-hand list, and
the Manage link inside the matching block of a listing’s
General Product Safety Regulations section opens it too.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between this and hazmat?
A: Hazmat is for hazardous materials and carries a signal word; product safety is
the general warning and does not. A product can need both, and the two are separate blocks on the
listing.
Q: My record is not offered on a listing.
A: It was made for another eBay site. Make one for the site the listing is on.
Q: Where do the pictograms come from?
A: eBay publishes them per site. The desktop application refreshes them with
Refresh GPSR meta data.
Q: Two pictograms only?
A: Two is eBay’s limit for this block. Hazmat allows four.
