Name a Compatibility Set

← All WonderLister user guides

A compatibility set is a saved list of the vehicles a part fits, so you can attach the same
list to every listing of that part instead of building it again. This one-field dialog names the set you are
saving.

No screenshot. The dialog appears part-way through saving a compatibility set, which the
capture run does not do — it has no vehicle part to build a set from. There is one field and two
buttons; both are below.

Where to find it

  1. Open a listing’s Compatibilities section.
  2. Build the list of vehicles the part fits.
  3. Choose to save it as a set.

The dialog is titled Enter Compatibility Set Name.

What is on it

Control What it does
Set name What to call the set. Required — saving with it empty answers Set name must be entered.
Save Saves the set under that name.
Cancel Closes without saving. The compatibilities stay on the listing; they are simply not saved as a reusable set.
Name it for the part, not for the listing. The set’s whole value is being reused, and you
will be choosing it from a list months from now — “Ford Focus Mk2 front brakes” beats “Set 4”.

How to save a set

  1. Finish building the vehicle list in Compatibilities.
  2. Choose to save it as a set.
  3. Type a name that describes what the set fits.
  4. Click Save.
