A one-line warning that appears when you are assigning pictures across several listings and have chosen
more files than the listings can take. It tells you before anything is uploaded.
files than will fit, which the capture run does not perform. There is one sentence in it and two buttons;
both are below.
Where you will meet it
When assigning pictures in bulk — see
Bulk Assign Pictures. The dialog is titled
Warning! and reads You have selected more pictures than can be assigned.
Why it appears
Bulk assignment gives each listing a fixed number of pictures — the number of pictures per
listing set in Preferences. The warning appears when the files you
chose come to more than that number multiplied by the listings still available to receive them. In short:
more pictures than there are places to put them.
The two buttons
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ok | Carries on. The pictures that fit are assigned; the surplus is not. |
| Cancel | Stops. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is assigned, so you can change the selection or the preference and start again. |
If you meant every picture to be used, press Cancel and either select fewer files or raise
the pictures-per-listing figure in Preferences.
What to do about it
- Press Cancel.
- Count the listings you are assigning to, and the pictures per listing you have set.
- Either select that many files, or raise the figure in Preferences.
- Start the assignment again.
