About Ad Templates

A short explanatory dialog about ad templates — what they are and why they are worth setting up. It is
information only: there is nothing to fill in and nothing to save.

No screenshot. This dialog is an explanatory panel raised from the features material rather than a
screen you work in, and the capture run photographs working screens. There is nothing in it but the text
described below and two illustrations it carries itself.

What it says

An ad template lets you define the basic look of a listing once and use it across many listings — or all of
them. When something needs changing, you change the template and every listing using it can be brought up to
date, rather than editing them one by one. Custom fields can be embedded in an ad template too. There is no
limit on how many you create, so one for electronics and another for clothing is a perfectly ordinary
arrangement.

The explanation The paragraph above.
A slideshow Two illustrations that cycle by themselves — the Ad Template Tags Editor and the Ad Template Editor. Arrows and dots let you move between them.
“Ad template” and “description template” are the same thing. The application uses both
names. Where you actually build one is

FAQ

Q: Is an ad template the same as a listing template?
A: No, and the names are easy to confuse. An ad template is the look of the
description. A listing template is a whole draft listing you make
real listings from.
Q: How many can I have?
A: As many as you like.
