Folder Name, and Delete Folder

← All WonderLister user guides

The small dialog Manage Folders raises when it needs one answer from you.
It appears in one of two forms depending on what you asked for.

No screenshot. This dialog is raised from the right-click menu on
Manage Folders, and the capture run photographs pages and the dialogs it can
open from a toolbar rather than ones behind a context menu. Both of its forms are described below — there is
very little to either.

Naming a folder

Shown for Add a top level folder, Add Sub folder and
Rename folder.

Control What it does
Enter Folder Name The name. Renaming opens with the current name already in the box.
Save Creates or renames the folder.
Cancel Closes without changing anything.

Confirming a delete

Shown for Delete folder. It asks Are you sure to delete?

Control What it does
Delete Deletes the folder.
Cancel Leaves it alone.
Deleting a folder does not delete what is in it. The listings, templates or sales filed
there stay exactly as they were; only the filing goes.

FAQ

Q: Can two folders have the same name?
A: Under different parents, yes — but it makes the tree hard to read and harder to
pick from in Select Folder.
Q: Does deleting a folder delete the folders inside it?
A: The whole branch goes. Move anything you want to keep to another parent first,
with Make Top Level or by dragging it.
