Select Consignor Policy

← All WonderLister user guides

Select Consignor Policy says what you charge for selling this item on someone else’s
behalf — the commission bands, the per-listing fee, and how postage is treated. The terms themselves
are written once in the Consignor Policy Editor.

No screenshot. This is a control inside the listing editor’s Main Details section, not a screen of its own, and that
section is photographed whole in its own guide. Every part of the control is named below.

Where to find it

In the listing editor’s Main Details section, and in the simple
editor.

What is on it

Control What it does
Select Consignor Policy A single-choice dropdown listing each policy by its name.
Manage Opens the Consignor Policies screen, where the terms are written.
Refresh Fetches the list again.
The clear (×) Leaves the listing with no terms, so nothing is worked out when it sells.
The policy is read when the item sells, from the listing. Changing which policy a listing
uses afterwards does not rewrite what a past sale worked out to.

How to set the terms

  1. Choose the consignor first, in Select Consignor.
  2. Open the Select Consignor Policy dropdown.
  3. Click the terms that apply to this item.
  4. Save the listing.

FAQ

Q: The dropdown is empty.
A: No policies exist. Click Manage and write one — see
Consignor Policy Editor.
Q: Can one consignor have different terms on different items?
A: Yes. The policy is chosen per listing, not per consignor.
Q: I edited the policy. What happens to live listings?
A: They point at the record, so future sales use the new terms. Past sales keep what
they were worked out with.
Q: Where do I see the result?
