Select Site asks which eBay marketplace. The site decides far more than the
currency: the categories, the item specifics, the shipping services, the business policies and the
compliance values all come from eBay per site, so almost everything else on a screen waits on this answer.

No screenshot. This is a control inside a section of a larger screen — Account & Site in the listing editor is the clearest of them, not a screen of its own, and that
section is photographed whole in its own guide. Every part of the control is named below.

Where you will meet it

Screen What the site decides there
Account & Site in the listing editor Which marketplace the listing is for.
The business policy pages Which of that account’s policies are listed — they are held per site.
Hazmat and Product Safety editors Which pictograms, signal words and statements eBay permits.
Export eBay Categories Whose category tree to export.
The eBay Sync refresh pages Which sites to refresh — several at once there.

What is on it

Control What it does
Select Site The dropdown of eBay sites you have enabled.
Select all Where several sites are allowed — the refresh pages, mainly.
The line beneath Selected: …, naming what you chose, or Selected: None.
Manage and Refresh Open eBay Sites, and fetch the list again. Some screens hide both — Export eBay Categories is one — because there is nothing to manage from there.
The clear (×) Leaves nothing chosen.
Set the site before filling anything else in. Changing it afterwards refetches the lists it
governs, and a choice that does not exist on the new site is dropped — a category, a policy, a hazmat
record. That is not a fault; the codes belong to the marketplace.

How to use it

  1. Open the Select Site dropdown.
  2. Click the marketplace, or tick several where the screen allows it.
  3. Let the screen refill the lists that depend on it before you carry on.

FAQ

Q: A site I sell on is missing.
A: Enable it on eBay Sites, then click
Refresh.
Q: There is no Manage link on my screen.
A: Some screens hide it deliberately. Open eBay Sites
from the menu instead.
Q: I changed the site and the category cleared.
A: Categories are per site. Choose again from the new site’s tree in
Select Category.
Q: What about eBay Motors?
A: It is its own site, but business policies for it are read from the US
account — the application substitutes US when it asks eBay for them.
